Costa
Rica with its different climates and beautiful landscapes
is a perfect playground for experienced bikers.
You
access our resort either from San Ramon (scenic ride over
the mountain tops) or from the Pan American Highway if you
take the entrance to Miramar (Shell station). A paved road
takes you straight to the Hotel Vista Golfo. From here you
can start several different roundtrips, lasting from 1 hour
up to 6 hours. You drive up to the cloud forest and enjoy
a fantastic view over the Gulf of Nicoya on top of the mountains;
you will further pass by coffee plantations, waterfalls,
small farms, and you can even visit a gold mine. There is
always a choice between well maintained travel roads for
the easy drive and more adventurous trails for experienced
bikers.
You can
rent a motorbike in San Jose, visit the volcano Poàs
nearby and then go on to Lake Arenal. From there it’s only
a short drive to Liberia in the north (very hot climate!)
or down to Puntarenas. The ferry takes you to the Nicoya
Peninsula (Montezuma beach is recommended). Or you can follow
down the coast until you reach the popular Jaco beach.
